OOC Intro & CR Meme
We are so proud and excited to welcome you to Imaginary Island, a coda inspired by
balance_rpg! It's our hope that you will all enjoy this mystery-exploration-beach episode along with us. In preparation for our first IC log, why not familiarize yourself with the setting — or at least as much of the setting as there is to see so far? There's a great deal more on the horizon, naturally!
This post, though, is mostly for mingling, chatting, plotting, and getting hype! As each character's status on entry is fairly customizable per player tastes, this is a great time to let others know the nuts and bolts of your character's status, as well as any short- or long-term plans you have for them. Let's get familiar, y'all. And as usual, hit us up on the FAQ or Mod Contact if you have any questions!

Memloss: Y - You know, let's have Alex not think about the horrible, awful things that have happened to him for like, five minutes? He's going to regain memories slowly, though he'll remember feelings more. He's still going to be an anxious goddamn mess, because that's just his baseline, but maybe he'll be a little happier coming into all that trauma slowly. If he has a strong relationship with someone, he'll feel drawn to them and slowly recall things. I expect to have a lot of threads where he says something before he realizes he remembers it and is surprised. :)
Paths: Warlock (The Raven Queen) -> Cleric -> Sage
Housing: ANXIETY HAUS aka Mista and Lion
Looking for: Old friends to re-meet, new friends to...first-time meet. Continuation of CR, basically, I'm in for anything.
Offering: An anxious mess of a boy who has a tie with The Raven Queen and also should be dead by now. Genuinely, both by fate and also because he's too dumb to goddamn live. He's a high int, low wis character, if he can throw himself into danger to help others he will. He's very bad at staying alive. He has died once before coming here, once here, he's not smart. I'm so sorry about him.
Plans & Goals: Bbbbasically just continuing and finishing his arc! Alex is going to be confused but generally willing to meet and talk with people, and honestly having the one person from his canon he wanted to see most here is going to mellow him out so much. I would like, eventually, for Alex to find a nice middle-ground of being cautious but understanding and accepting not EVERY world/god is going to kill you for defying it.

So I'm taking the start of Island as a chance to make Erika, like....less withdrawn and more active, in service of grubbing around for answers about her memories and the people she used to know. Where that goes, I generally just want to thread and find out, but it might be neat for Alex if she like...established herself as someone who's looking out for him (and everyone) (because she does) and can be approached and potentially relied upon for thoughts/aid, early on before memories start to really come back for everyone?
That's just my instinct. And on Erika's part I want to use the memloss to like, get her up in people's business/people up in her business because she had such a tendency to pull back and observe before and not put herself in positions to be observed, so for characters like Alex where she had contact but not really big CR yet it'd be nice to get them interacting on a closer basis.
