Caleb Cleveland & the Q&A/Interest Check!
Hello and welcome to the official Caleb Cleveland & the Imaginary Island Q&A/Interest Check! This is the place to ask your burning questions and let us know if you're interested in joining!
Please check out our Premise and FAQ before diving in! No questions are too small to ask. If you have any queries that you'd prefer to ask in private, our Mod Contact is always open. We'll be answering all questions on this page that are submitted by Monday, March 9 at 11:59 PM EST. After that point, please direct all questions to the FAQ itself.Interest Check 🌴 Q&A

1. That would fly as a canon power with some nerfing, yes! You're welcome to go ahead and work out a nerf on your own and we can negotiate it if it ends up not gelling perfectly. F in chat for this character, also.
2. Yep, all non-magic, non-weapon, non-living items show up on the character's person on arrival. We'll go ahead and include a space to list those on the app — thank you for bringing the idea to our attention!
3. All memories, baby. 100% gone. You're welcome to play with faint feelings of deja vu-y familiarity towards other characters as you like, per player discretion of course. As far as regaining those memories, it depends on what kind of memory it is. Personal memories of a character's past life, relationships, and most experiences can be regained at player discretion and your preferred speed. Any memories to do with overarching plot or major NPCs must be vetted by mods before recovery.
We're not going to be policing this super rigidly, to be clear! We just want to make sure that as many characters are able to participate in big reveals as possible, which might be difficult if these major plot-related memory regains were self-determined. Subject to exceptions, regaining memories will happen one of two ways: either you can approach us with a thread saying hey, I feel like this might be a good point for my character to remember X, and we'll yea or nay; or it will be determined by RNG, IE a very tasty roll might offer a memory nugget to a character.
Some examples of things that would require mod approval: the Relics, Lucretia, the Hunger. If you're not sure which category a memory falls into, let us know!
