If you'd like to have Church spend the whole of his preparation time taming the beast, you may use the beast in the capacity of a familiar/pet.
If Church would rather just say 'good boy' and let the beast sit around, we'll navigate that beast for ya.
In either case, you may choose the animal form of the beast that accompanies Church.
