Mission Update: September!

Hello Explorers!

You've completed your first month of investigation and uncovered quite a few clues! However, there's still a bit more to solve before you've solved the mystery of the island. Let's go over what we've learned together, catch up, and get to that relic!

Remember, sharing this information among characters ICly could lead to more clues being solved or pathways opening up... not to mention more gacha gameplay rewards!

During the next AC period, if you link a thread where your character is communicating plot-relevant information to another or other characters, you can collect up to 2 gameplay gacha coins! There is no required minimum number of comments to collect these threads; as long as you have presented information your character has learned or have posed a speculation, you may collect your coin.

By the way, you can read more in depth about this information on our players doc thanks to your navigator Anne.

KNOWLEDGE FROM NPCs

ANGUS: A couple of interesting things have been revealed to— and about— Angus recently. The first being: there is definitely someone trying to get in contact with Angus and the other reclaimers. The second being: somehow, some way, Angus was involved in getting the Reclaimers to this island. A strange voice claimed that Angus helped give the Reclaimers more time as the Hunger advanced. Christine helped Angus to recall that he'd had some suspicions about the director during Candlenights, and hypothesized that Director Lucretia might be in those murals— and perhaps Angus himself is as well!

Was Angus right to suspect that perhaps the Director wasn't telling the Reclaimers everything? And what exactly happened to the director when Angus went to see her? If those pictures in the ruins are really her, could they give a hint to the Director's fate?

MARINERO & LOLA: The old bat has told Clear and Christine quite a bit about the magic of dancing and a school of magic beyond those known in Faerun. With Lola's help, at least one of our dance teams has learned the magic dance that may just purge the dangerous Cursed creatures from the island. But just what lies beyond that foggy field? What are the Cursed that you're purging, anyway? And for that matter-- just how are all the dancers going to get past that wall itself?

K.V.: Folks have learned just how capable these islanders are at enhancing normal magitech! Could new toys, weapons, and other things be in the future? K.V. seems to have the low-down on these and the powerful magitech beasts roaming the coliseum area.

Church also asked K.V. if the Cursed were once people-- something K.V. never considered, but assured Church they just couldn't be. SO that's that.... right?

NIELY: Rose discovered that the rapping puppy seems to have a curious fish friend with them! "Mango", "The Hammer"... just what will this fish call himself next?

THE UMBRELLA: Sans heard not one but two heartbeats within the umbrella, and McCree & Wash were both able to see some mysterious memories that don't quite match up with each other! What could this mean? And for that matter, is this umbrella any help at all, anyway?!

OF MONSTERS AND MOUNTAINS:

UNGLITCH: Glitch fixing efforts have gone quite interestingly, ranging from making glitches worse to hacking things back into place. It'd seem that bandaging the problem doesn't prove quite as successful as other methods... but don't give up! What other magics do these glitches seem to respond to?

DEEP FOGGY FOREST: It looks like this place is home to a frightening face-stealing creature! Papyrus's aggression landed him with a flat skull; can a Reclaimer truly take this monster on, or is there another path through the dark?

Soon after Papyrus's discovery, Maya spoke to the trees and got quite the mouthful in return. The trees explained that the forest seems to be poisoned and their guardian spirit is lost and sick- but another distinct voice came from the ether to ask the benefits of fighting versus healing.

CRYSTAL LAGOON: There's something dangerous here, too! Something so dangerous, a voice had to fix it? Something that even the umbrella would whisk Mira away from? The Caverns of Memory, which the Umbrella revealed to McCree can also be accessed under Miso Fou's Bar, also connect into this lagoon. What could be hiding here, and why is that doppleganger so scary?

Out here Wash has discovered some important memories of that seem to be from the director herself, including a memory that corroborates one of Angus's suspicions; Angus definitely confronted the director that last night of Candlenights.

THE VOLCANO: One intrepid explorer, Mira, was able to uncover an entrance to the volcano through the Crystal Lagoon! However, the Umbrella seemed to discourage Mira from exploring further. Just how dangerous is this volcano? What could it be hiding?

As a result of your investigations, you have unlocked three new locations: Volcano Island, the Crystal Maze, and the Caverns of Memory.

Keep up the good work, explorers!

We're hoping to complete this mission within the next weeks, move on to the interlude at the beginning of October, and should complete endgame before November hits! Thank you so much for going on this journey with us, and we hope you'll enjoy what we have planned.

Would you like to have a plurk to connect to each other for team rolls? Let us know if you're interested and we'll set up a plurk to make connections! Remember, investigating with your fellow reclaimers can make it easier to find new clues!

Once again, you can access all this information and more on our player document.

.....Belatedly, did the Gacha bonus for communicating plot info apply to September or October?

(I was in a funk when this post went up and this is the first time I've read it. T_T)
